Origin Seed
Ty emerged as the most recent painting in this body of work.
At its center is a radiant seed — a point where movement gathers and energy condenses into form. Around it, currents of air, fire, water, and earth begin to organize into a living pattern.
This painting represents the moment when coherence begins — when a center forms and the surrounding field responds.
It reflects the same principle that now informs my work through The Coherence Field™:
when a stable center is present, life reorganizes naturally around it.
The Paintings
Over the past two decades I have painted intuitively, without formal training. What began as an exploration of color and movement gradually revealed a consistent language of forms: spirals, seeds, portals, rivers, and thresholds.
Looking back through the paintings, I realized they were not separate works after all.
Again and again the same pattern appeared — a center forming within a surrounding field, with currents moving toward or away from that center. Each painting captures a moment when something invisible begins to organize into visible form.
I began referring to this body of work as Portals of the Living Field.
These paintings explore emergence — the point where structure appears within the larger field of life.
Over time the canvases naturally became larger, allowing these movements to unfold more fully.
The Living Field
Although these paintings were created long before I articulated The Coherence Field™, I now see that they were exploring the same principle.
Life organizes itself around coherence.
When a stable center appears, movement in the surrounding field begins to harmonize.
Each painting is a portal into that process.
The paintings emerged long before I articulated The Coherence Field™, yet they follow the same pattern of emergence — a center forming within a living field.
The Series – Portals of the Living Field
Although the gallery displays the most recent works first, the paintings themselves trace an arc of emergence within the living field.
Over time a consistent visual language began to appear: spirals, portals, seeds, rivers, and thresholds. These forms emerged naturally through the painting process and gradually revealed themselves as part of a single body of work.
Together the paintings explore the moment when structure appears within the field of life — when a center forms and movement begins to organize around it.
Each painting represents a threshold where something unseen begins to take form.

A canyon waterfall where celestial waters descend into earth.
Together the paintings trace an arc of emergence — from landscape and spiral to womb, vessel, living gate, and finally the seed of coherence itself.
The Artist
Patricia Wald-Hopkins has been painting intuitively since 2006, working without formal training and allowing each painting to emerge through direct engagement with color, movement, and field awareness.
Her work explores emergence — the moment when structure appears within the living field.
Today this same principle informs her work through The Coherence Field™, a framework for restoring structural alignment within leadership, identity, and the natural systems that support life.

Ty- Seed of Coherence

Ty represents the origin point within the series Portals of the Living Field.
At the center of the painting a radiant golden seed appears — a moment where movement gathers and energy begins to condense into form. Around the seed, currents of air, fire, water, and earth move outward in layered spirals, suggesting the moment when a living field begins organizing itself.
The painting emerged through an intuitive process. The golden center was painted first and allowed to rest for more than a week before the surrounding currents appeared in a single evening of painting.
Ty reflects a simple but profound principle found throughout living systems: when a stable center appears, the surrounding field begins to harmonize around it.
The Rising Flame
Portal of the Dragon – November 2025
Two ascending currents rise through a field of violet and indigo, spiraling toward a radiant solar center.
The movement evokes the ancient symbolism of the dragon — a representation of primordial life force moving through both the earth and the human system.
The twin currents suggest a living energy awakening and rising through the field, creating movement, transformation, and vitality.
The Rising Flame represents the activation of life force within the living field.
Garden of Emergence
Portal of Avalon – June 2025
Garden of Emergence evokes a living threshold where nature and consciousness meet.
A vivid red portal appears within a landscape of vines, growth, and earth tones. The gate-like opening suggests passage into a fertile landscape — a symbolic garden where life begins organizing itself into new forms.
The painting carries the feeling of Avalon, a place where the visible and invisible worlds touch. The curling vines surrounding the portal evoke growth, regeneration, and the natural intelligence of living systems.

The Blue Threshold

Portal of Abundance
Portal of Abundance – February 2025
Spiral of Renewal centers on a circular spiral expanding outward through green, turquoise, and gold tones.
The spiral evokes natural patterns of growth seen throughout living systems. Rather than linear movement, life unfolds through cycles that continuously return to the center while expanding outward.
The green and blue tones suggest circulation and vitality, reflecting the abundance that arises when energy flows freely through a system.
Spiral of Renewal represents life returning to balance and movement.
The Solar Vessel
Portal of Transmutation – January 2025
The Solar Vessel depicts a radiant vessel-shaped form emerging from currents of red, gold, and amber.
The central structure resembles a temple or container in which transformation occurs. The warm tones evoke fire and alchemy — the process through which energy is refined into new form.
The painting reflects the stage where change becomes possible because energy has been gathered into a coherent center.

The Womb of Light
Portal of New Worlds – December 2024
The Womb of Light presents a luminous chamber surrounded by flowing turquoise and gold tones.
The central form evokes a womb or generative chamber from which new worlds emerge. Soft currents of light and water-like movement surround the center, suggesting the early stages of creation when form begins to organize itself.
The painting carries the quiet atmosphere of gestation — the moment before something new becomes visible.

The Inner Spiral
Portal f Sirius – November 2024
The Inner Spiral draws the viewer into a deep blue vortex that spirals inward toward a quiet center.
The spiral suggests a journey inward through layers of perception. The deep blues evoke the vastness of sky or ocean, creating the sense of entering an interior cosmos.
Rather than expansion outward, this painting represents the movement of awareness toward the center.
